Tarry McConnell

When Jerry & I started MCC in 1979 , I had over 10 years experience in systems analysis in the Navy, primarily on main frame computers and minicomputers. I had graduate degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from the Naval Postgraduate School, had built my own IMSAI microcomputer and ADM3 terminal, and had communicated with government contractors & civilian universities using email via the APRAnet. I was then and I am still amazed and excited at the tremendous growth and phenomenal speed with which the computer & communications industries have advanced. I continued my Navy career in the Reserves while developing MCC and held wonderful and enlightening positions with the Office of Naval Research participating in research and implementations that were years ahead of public availability.

The wonderful variety and adventurous spirit of our clients over the years has lead us into every type of business on the Central Coast. They have challenged us to stay on technology's "bleeding" edge. Before establishing MCC, I was completely unaware of the time & energy required to actually run a business, any business. And although many times I would love to be isolated in a laboratory doing basic research, I think MCC gives me a great insight into the challenges and opportunities facing our clients. It is our rapport with our clients, our integration skills, our comprehensive experience, and our willingness to tackle any problem and see it through that sets our company apart. It is truly rewarding to design a system using both the new and the "tried and true" to implement a fully integrated solution. We are continually aware of our mission and constantly striving to be the best. I am proud of my part in making that happen.

Please let me know what you think.what challenges are ahead for your business? How can we create the type of relationship that keeps us both successful?
